Audi NEW SITE
Audi have opted for a Flash/HTML heavy mix in their new revised German website. Text is buried far deeper in the site, and Audi’s fantastic photography is pushed to the forefront in the new look site. Some of the content pages look a little ‘unfinished’, but overall, we think the new site is an improvement on the older iteration.

Ministry of Sound move in to iPhone arena perfectly
Ministry of Sound and iZotope release iDrum: Ministry of Sound Anthems Edition. Based upon the hugely successful and powerful iDrum engine, Ministry of Sound have teamed up with iZotope to create a MoS version of their killer app. This is the first real good example of a brand that is using the iPhone as a good promotional tool, whilst earning money from the App Store. Other brands such as Audi has failed miserably with their attempts at jumping on the iPhone App bandwagon. The app is super fun to use, like iDrum: Club Edition, but it’s actually slightly cooler, because you’ll hear samples that you recognize, which really increases the longevity of the appeal within the App. If you like dance music, you’ve probably already got iDrum, however this $7.99 app is well worth the money for all you dance music lovers out there!
VERDICT: 88%

The mystery of iStockphoto’s Top 8

We received our iStockphoto newsletter about 20 minutes ago, and scrolled down to the iStock TOP 8. You would assume this would be the top selling photos on iStockphoto, or even perhaps the highest rated images. So we clicked on one of the images to see how many images you need to sell to get in to iStock’s ‘TOP 8′…
Well, it would appear you don’t have to sell any. The featured image* (whilst very nice!) has been on iStockphoto for nearly a month, had ZERO sales, only been viewed 21 times, and had 4 reviews. I’m really not sure how this qualifies the shot to be featured in iStock’s Top 8. I mean, if the photo really was a hot shot, I think it would have sold at least one image so far don’t you?
What’s going on iStock…?

When a brand turns tacky…

Ed Hardy has successfully gone from being Hollywood’s hottest celebrity label to ending up in the bargain bin of $1 stores. A prime example of how overexposure of a brand can devalue it massively. Sadly, they’ve not done themselves any favours, the actual Ed Hardy Store seems to have adopted the tattoo style EVERYWHERE, and not only is it overpowering, it’s not at all classy. When the product is as bright and bold as Ed Hardy clothes, you hardly want the store to be like that too. Will this be the next label to crash and burn in 2009?

Hot Site: MarioKart Wii

MarioKart for Wii has one of the coolest websites for a game that we’ve seen recently, the interaction is simple enough for a kid, yet really enjoyable for an adult too. This fine balance was created by F-I (of course!) who seem to have a very firm foot in the door with Nintendo right now, after their amazing Wario Shake YouTube advert.

Hot new Jewellery from France
Jewellery from http://alt-go.fr/

We’re totally loving the new jewellery range from http://alt-go.fr/
Made from weird bits of plastic and metal, this years range are truly off the hook. They also have a totally rad website worth checking out even if you’re not in to rings and stuff!

First Look: Torso Clothing

We like the clothes on Torso Clothing’s new site. The site is built using the nice Big Cartel system for small businesses looking to sell LESS than 100 items. Torso’s tee’s are really nice and all well made, well worth checking out.
