We’ve followed these guys for a while now, and we’re just more and more impressed everytime we check their portfolio out. =scz’s work is primarily graffiti based art, but some more corporate/design work features too… Definately worth checking out their full series of work.

First Look: New Star Trek Screenshots

Star Trek comes out next year, and with a new ‘ratpack’ style all star cast of Hollywood’s youth, this movie genuinely looks pretty damn cool. JJ Abrams directs this prequel to all Star Trek movies, and we’re totally pumped to see that Silar from Heroes is Spock!
Visually this trailer looks so different from any Star Trek movies from the past, the world has a much more eerie look about it, I guess that is the JJ Abrams styling, it works really well, and has a more cool ‘Star Wars meets Transformers’ look about it, than previous movies. There seems to be a shift with these ‘chain-movies’ (like James Bond) where over time, the cheesiness and comedy values are slowly sucked out leaving a slick, more intense action movie behind.

First Look: Prince / Randee St. Nicholas – 21 Nights

Prince’s new Photobook was released last month, and we finally got our hands on a copy. The book features some great shots from Prince’s 21 nights in London in 2007. Shots were taken by Randee St. Nicholas who shadowed Prince for most of his London stint. Sadly, whilst the photography is quite good, there are lots of blank pages that just have a few lines of Prince’s poetry. Not sure if this is to give the impression that the book has more pages that it should have, but it was quite disappointing thumbing through so many black pages through the book. The quality of the shots are a little hit and miss. Whilst the live shots and staged shots are great, there are some really random shots (for example: hotel rooms in the Dorchester) and to be honest these feel like filler shots and have not much to do with the 21 Nights in London Tour.
VERDICT: 85% – Still a great book for any Prince fan.

Sprint confuse… EVERYONE!

Sprint are heavily pushing their Mobile Broadband solutions at the moment, and they’ve created a pretty intense (crazy) ‘widget’ based design to show just how much stuff you can do on the net, and then I guess, showing how you can do it all from your laptop with a Mobile Broadband card too…
I’m not sure if I like this yet or not, but it’s quite unique, and so I’ve posted it on realitydreamship.
